Job Summary

As an Informatica Engineer at our customer’s team, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing tools for data processing. Your work will enable internal business units to leverage data efficiently by developing secure and high performing data integration and ETL processes. You will participate in all stages of development, from analysis to production releases, ensuring quality and collaborating closely with the Product team in an agile environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and implementing ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Migrating Informatica jobs between environments.
• Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
• Optimizing ETL processes for performance and scalability.
• Developing And maintaining data mappings, workflows,and sessions in Informatica.
• Troubleshooting And resolving data issues to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Monitoring ETL processes, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Documenting technical designs, ETL processes and data flows.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience as an Informatica Engineer (using Informatica PowerCenter tool) or similar role with a strong background in database development, ETL processes,and software development.
• Strong experience in ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing tasks.
• Experience in data modeling to design efficient and scalable database structures.
• Proficiency in PySpark, Pandas, or other data processing libraries.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in SQLand scripting languages such as Python with experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Experience with data modeling,schema design,and optimization techniques for scalability.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize data processing pipelines for scale.
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating system and shell scripting.
• Experience with Cobol copybooks and Informatica Power Exchange.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
