Job Summary

The Senior Web engineer will be to support, analyze, architect, and develop within existing and new applications and processes. The developer is expected to architect and implement new features, troubleshoot issues, provide enhancements, and perform maintenance and updates based on user and business needs. The developer will also provide design feedback, develop performance monitoring metrics, document design and code base, and provide improvement suggestions.
This position demands exceptional critical thinking, strong communication abilities, and outstanding interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy, analytical, and well-organized professional capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers and product stakeholders to develop and support the UConnect platform.
  • Provide updates to existing platforms and integrations.
  • Test and manage codebases and software releases.
  • Make recommendations and implement updates to the Fusion platform and its supporting integrations.
  • Assist software development teams with ad hoc development projects.
  • Respond to ticket requests regarding software and code issues.
  • Offer architectural guidance and strategic planning for new features and functionalities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (7+ years) in reading, running, and writing Ruby on Rails code.
  • Experience in reading, running, and writing Javascript.
  • Experience deploying code in via Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude to troubleshoot systems with little documentation or knowledge base.
  • Good understanding of performance monitoring and reporting tools for software running on servers.
  • Experience with Liquid templating language.
  • Experience with Jira/Github/Hubot.
  • Proficient with MongoDB.
  • AWS/DevOps experience preferred.
  • Strong CSS background.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive web service experience.

Time Zone: CST
Working Hours: 8:00 to 05:00 pm (minimum of 6 hours of overlap, but they should be responsive)
Country Restrictions: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay and Uruguay.
