Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fullstack SDET with a strong foundation in Kotlin, automation, and end-to-end testing to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile and backend systems through comprehensive test automation. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in test automation frameworks and tools, particularly Appium, with proficiency in Kotlin to streamline our E2E testing on mobile platforms. In this position, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of backend services and mobile applications, while delivering top-notch automation solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for end-to-end testing of mobile and backend systems.
  • Create reliable and reusable test scripts with a strong focus on Kotlin for mobile E2E testing using Appium.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality code through continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Review code and test cases to identify potential quality issues early in the development process.
  • Develop strategies for testing backend services, APIs, and integrations to ensure seamless performance and functionality.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in software testing, automation, and quality assurance.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and work with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks for mobile and backend applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Kotlin, specifically for creating test scripts for mobile platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Appium is preferred, but if the candidate has experience with similar tools (e.g., Selenium or other mobile testing frameworks), they must be willing to learn and adapt to Appium.
  • Strong understanding of backend technologies and services, with the ability to test APIs and integrations.
  • Expertise in planning and executing comprehensive E2E tests for both mobile and backend systems.
  • Familiarity with a variety of testing tools and frameworks beyond Appium and Selenium, such as Postman for API testing or JUnit for unit testing.
  • Excellent ability to work in a team, collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Node.js (optional but a plus).

Target Start Date: ASAP
Expected Duration: Long term
Time Zone: EST/PST/CST flexible (As for timezone, flexible with their availability but they would be expected to work with US based timezones so Central time zone works the best.)
Working Hours: Minimum 5/6 hs overlap; flexible to join meetings when needed.
Country Restrictions: Cuba/Venezuela/Mexico
