Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our team. This role involves working with a team of experienced engineers who specialize in meaningful legacy code refactoring. The primary focus will be to add and integrate Plaid’s anti-fraud measures into our client’s platform, which is based on the .NET Framework.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand the functionality of the existing legacy codebase.
  • Familiarize yourself with Plaid’s anti-fraud offerings, including APIs and UI elements.
  • Identify integration points between the legacy platform and Plaid’s anti-fraud solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to estimate and plan code changes effectively.
  • Add or refactor code to enable seamless integration with Plaid’s solutions.
  • Integrate and wire up Plaid-provided UI elements within the ASP.NET MVC framework.
  • Refactor and adapt existing tests as necessary to maintain coverage and reliability.
  • Design and implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure system quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and deadlines.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • A senior engineering skillset, characterized by:
    • Proactive problem-solving and initiative.
    • Ability to own significant portions of work independently.
    • Capability to resolve moderate ambiguity and deliver results effectively.
  • Proven experience as a Frontend Developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in ASP.NET, MVC, and C#.
  • Familiarity with WCF APIs and ASPX pages.
  • Previous experience in financial or healthcare projects, or with Plaid anti-fraud integration; alternatively, a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API principles, including:
    • RESTful architecture, HTTP verbs, status codes, and best practices.
  • Experience with SOAP, XML, and JSON.
  • Knowledge of Oracle databases.
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
