As a Threat Protection Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Microsoft, you will be essential in safeguarding our enterprise customers against evolving cyber threats. Your expertise in Microsoft Defender technologies will help enhance our security posture and ensure the protection of critical data and systems. You will collaborate with various teams to implement effective threat protection strategies and respond to security incidents.
Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment and administration of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, and Cloud App Security.
- Provide expert support in troubleshooting technical issues related to threat protection technologies, escalating as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive security solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Analyze security incidents and develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance overall security posture.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on best practices for threat protection and incident response.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cybersecurity to continuously improve service offerings.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in SecOps, leveraging Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, and Cloud App Security.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and related security technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, capable of resolving technical issues up through tier 2 support.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for enhancing cybersecurity measures.
