Job Summary

The SDK Engineering team at Taller is on a mission to revolutionize online payments. We are dedicated to enabling merchants worldwide to seamlessly accept payments through their mobile applications and websites. Our focus is always on developers and their needs, striving to deliver a best-in-class developer experience. We are looking for highly talented and self-driven engineers to join our innovative team! In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enabling new payment methods and features for our Web SDK. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain a robust Web SDK that meets the needs of our developers and merchants.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to create simple, effective Web SDKs that enhance user experience.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, such as Venmo, in design and product development to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
  • Provide constructive feedback on code and actively contribute to architecture discussions to improve system design.
  • Engage with internal and external developers to better understand their pain points and identify ways to enhance the developer experience.
  • Actively contribute to open-source projects, sharing knowledge and resources with the developer community.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, applying new knowledge to enhance our products.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and retrospectives to discuss successes and areas for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration by pair programming and engaging in asynchronous communication.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficient in building applications using JavaScript, NodeJS and TypeScript.
  • Experience in developing developer-facing products such as SDKs, REST APIs, or GraphQL is a plus.
  • Familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3) and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha) 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on user experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Previous experience in a software engineering role focused on web development.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
  • Experience working in open-source projects or communities is highly desirable.
